Supernatural Season of Change

For years, I was stuck in a hypercritical over analyzing state
With only brief moments of free expression usually fueled by substances
I was constantly hit with analysis paralysis
What I found was that once I was willing and READY to step through the door of surrender…
Once I was ready to commit myself to god
That is when I found salvation
a path towards correction, relief, serenity, peace, joy, and calm.
I haven't found a perfect connection yet, but I've learned when my mind becomes disconnected from my heart and begins to spiral into negativity I the only thing I need to do with all my might
is surrender... Just let go... absolutely!!!
I don’t want to be a critic
I’d rather be a creator
Instead of criticizing other people,
I'll create the person that I want to be
Instead of criticizing other things,
I’ll create admiration for it’s beauty in the present state
Instead of criticizing and analyzing other writings and ideas,
I’ll become a storyteller and author of my own journey
I’d like to aspire to walk on the path toward excellence and when I falter recognize my mistakes as soon as possible and admit my wrongs
Fear, shame, guilt, pain… these are all tools we have been given that help us to bring awareness to the consequences of our thoughts, words, and actions
As we faithfully walk with a heart full of love and guided by god we are often lead to take an even closer look at our external as well as our internal world
But it is only through intense self examination and the willingness to rectify our behavior that we are finally able to grow
We can’t just bring awareness to our actions and do nothing about them...
The only way to further our journey along the path of excellence is to change our behavior
And the best place to start in with our actions
I've found that it works for me to start with my actions and work my way back to my words and thoughts
The final battle is to rectify your relentless thoughts seemingly cultivated in the mind before we have even had a chance to think…
Thoughts can come so quickly into the mind... before I know it I've already silently cursed at the car who just cut me off...
The final battle ends with our thoughts.
But it begins with our actions and choices
We start by making a choice to build new and better habits and routines
Eventually, if we practice these new habits long enough
They gain a new level of ease which allows us to introduce more difficult habits
Before long you’ll find yourself acting in ways that are unrecognizable
All the best,
with love,
-Anson
